First, I feel like this world is a bit of a mess. I'm not sure what to do or how to help. I have found myself feeling hopeless and disappointed in this world. I want to see change. I want to see more kindness in people, but it seems impossible. But I can put my thoughts down on the page and invite others to share their thoughts.* So instead of just a penny for my thoughts, let's start a discussion, add more thoughts and have at least a couple pennies.
Second, there is a great parable about a woman who gives a tiny bit of money but is praised for her sacrifice. It's easy to give a lot when you have a lot, but when you feel like you have nothing it is even harder to give. I honestly feel like I have nothing to give right now. I don't know how to navigate this crazy political climate and this world full of mass shootings and terrorist attacks. I guess I feel like the only thing I have to give are my thoughts and my desire to be a peace keeper. So, this blog may only be a couple pennies compared to what other can do, but it's all I have.
